Attention the Argolid Smartreader V2 can be configured only with Windows XP or Linux.
With Win 7 or Win 8 it is chance and luck if it works. Windows 7 and 8 will automatically install when you connect the SmartReaders the default driver, but if you then want to open the properties to enable the virtual comport depends the Entire Device Manager until you disconnect the Smargos. Tested with Windows 7 32 bit, Windows 7 64 bit and 64 bit Windows 8. Only with Windows XP 32 bit I was able to update the reader and enter a Device name.
When the settings are done works of Smargo usual well.
The new equipment with current operating systems is not compatible I think is unreasonable, therefore only 3 stars!
