Opposite the former tester some improvements I have noticed with my new touch-2; so no longer "wobbles" the volume button and the USB plug is significantly stronger. Maybe I have therefore already a revised model received (date of purchase März'13)?

The Note 2 is in everyday life quickly into a mobile office - my laptop lonely slow because the note 2 to the PC almost completely replaced. Only longer texts like this I write more on the PC, but also for that I will soon acquire a solution (eg docking station with Bluetooth Keyboard).
I have to admit though that I invest too heavily in Apps, ie when me an app seems useful, and I will give it even like money. So I have eg Genius Scan to photograph documents and to push as PDF in the dropbox; Time Recording Pro to capture my billable work, Bli ****. De to protect me from expensive surprises during the ride to the customer, the Pro Apps from runtastic to erfasssen / boost to my evening workout, TuneIn Radio as, Sketchbook, Photoshop Touch, Haushaltsbuch, BoxToGo etc. etc. And with Titanium Backup is a backup regularly created and pushed to Dropbox.
But not only the pure Apps, but also the many little helpers make the device as productive:
With "SMS Backup +" not only text messages are saved to GMail, but on request the phone call (when with whom for how long) over supported in the Google Calendar. Highly recommended is also "Call Confirm" of 7bit, which prevents a zusättzlich query that you accidentally dials a phone number. With "AFWall +" I can deny access from Apps to Use Internet. "Clipper Plus" saves the clipboard. "Total Commander" is the best file manager. With SwiftKey you already wrote almost automatically. And so on - the list goes on and on, but that is indeed here not a software but a device-review his ;-)
Speaking of software: The device is of course the factory fully clapped with Samsung Apps; Some of the apps may perhaps be useful, but the rest I just disabled on Titanium Backup, including AllShare, chaton, Flipboard, GameHub, Google Play Books / Magazines / Movies / Music, Google+, Group Cast, Learning Hub, Music Hub, news daemon, Reader Hub, Video Hub, Weather *, Yahoo *.
Furthermore, I have exchanged Touchwiz against NovaPrime. Unfortunately I did not make before / after comparison, to compare the saved RAM, it will probably be already enormous; negative effects so far I could not identify.
The hardware of the Note-2 I would call perfect. Of course, there is always somehow somewhere what to improve, but the overall picture will decide - and that Samsung has done a good job in my view really correct.
For example, the plastic housing - one previous Motorola Razr i had a mega-cool aluminum frames - looks at first great, but if then slowly decreases the paint at the edges after three / four months :-( This unpleasant effect occurs well known, even when iPhone 5 on.

Toll I find that the home button is executed physically and not only as a soft-botton. Long press opens the list of active Apps, press twice to start a voice input.
My conclusion: I had been eight Android smartphones; (!) but with the Note-2, I finally found the device, with which I am completely satisfied and that gives me the highest utility.
Would recommend the note-2 each? Hardly - who writes only call or SMS / Whatsup, will surely get along well with each x-arbitrary Phone. However, if you look for a kind of hand-held computer, a mobile phone with an integrated function of all trades, which is sure to make the right choice with the Note-2.
I would buy the device at any time.
