The political novel of the century

Everything has been said about 1984, the figure of Big Brother is passed into everyday vocabulary, the image of an omnipresent police force fueling our imagination and our fears. Yet his reading and rereading is never a repetition.
Orwell novel accomplishes with this policy, the goal it had set, melt the art and politics in the same project.
First great work on the totalitarian experience, published before The Origins of Totalitarianism Arendt (1951), 1984 depicts the insidious forms of the grip of power over the consciences, with the complicity of resisting his torturer, the need to failure when all social links were defeated.
Orwell shows us that man has to oppose the totalitarian omnipotence that the fragility of human relationships, family or love, attachment to the simple humanity.
1984 closed the Orwellian work and contributed to the unfairly obscure. We hope that reading the book, probably the political novel of the century, contributing to its rediscovery.
