This is the first novel of the author and it is the fourth of coverage that prompted me to buy this book.
Karine Lambert then sign a very nice novel that describes the journey of these women who have chosen to abandon the men who make one or more reasons.
It is a pleasant novel, written with great simplicity, a tender look on tenants who recall their childhood, their past, their disappointments, their desires. The opportunity to do it the knowledge of six women aged 37-70 years, six women that we follow through their daily lives, when they are shopping, going to the pool or at their dance, is found among each other to play cards, listen to music, cooking, enjoy tea, rolling a firecracker, crafts ... a routine life, in short, that the author tells us with great affection and a dedication to women who agree thick as thieves, sing loudly and do not allow any man in their life ... except that Jean-Pierre hairy reddish-brown, with amber eyes, the bushy tail and nimble on his feet ....
I took a certain pleasure to be in the company of these "phenomena", but also what I expected was to see how the newcomer would put the Revolution in the building. For Juliette, for whom a life without men is "a life without salt, no sugar, no pepper, no honey" does not conceive at all that these five girlfriends can do without the presence of a man in their lives. But everything will go smoothly, the pace is set, alone ... and it is on this point that I was a little disappointed, I expected more excitement ... in another Volume maybe ...
Anyway, it's a very nice first novel and author who deserves to be known.
