Manufacturers to achieve with it? Interested I was here when E5 especially on the second headphone output. That would be a real plus. However, the pricing at E5 is more than violent, because in this price range, there are known to be excellent Objective2 (O2) and almost the ODAC on top. Against these two I have the E5 also tested on a AKG K701 and a Hifiman HE-500. The AKG is notoriously difficult to drive despite actually uncritical key figures - and that has been confirmed here. Once it is clearer to the point takes the sound in relation to the O2 significantly. That's even the Chinese competition in the form of FIIO E10k worth listening - but again only with a headphone jack. The Hifiman He-500 decreases in its exceptional spaciousness on E5. This is a shame, because this is one of the characteristics that I value in this headphone. Again, the O2 is one step ahead. Perhaps the gimmick the corner is the audio processor just too much, which is reflected here. The app for control has, in my view do not add value.
Conclusion of my short tests - the data of the E5 read well, the implementation has succeeded, but the price for the performance offered too high. The gimmick of the Apps control and processor performance and cost money, which the buyer must co-finance somehow. When it comes to good sound alone, there are in dieserm price range in my opinion meaningful alternatives (eg Dragonfly 1.2 and of course the O2 / ODAC Combi). Who, however, is dependent on the second headphone jack, the likes can make friends with the E5.
