After 7 years, I wanted to set a new razor to me at last, because the battery of my old Remington MS2300 were so worn out by now that I was only able to shave with infected power cord.
So far, I was very pleased with Remington, because at that time (ie, 7 years ago) apparently agreed the advertising message yet that Remington would install more powerful engines than other manufacturers in the shaver. I have quite a solid stubble on the neck, at which so many razor ausbeist teeth. With Remington's always went smoothly.
For this reason, it was clear to me: it should be a Remington again. This time I wanted to spend a little more and have a model with titanium coated foil as this - according to the manufacturer - much slower wear than conventional shaving foils, and thus needs to be replaced less frequently.
But far from it! When I used the newly appointed Remington F5790 for the first time, I realized that this brand-new razor almost not shaved! My old MS2300, I have not thrown away, shaved the year and a half no longer exchanged standard foil much better than the new thing with his oh-so-great titanium foil - incredible. A razor just shaved! I had to go about 20-30 times about it being shaved stubble until the skin was smooth. The old razor managed with the two or three times a hover.
"Blades barely wear" ????? - Clear, logical, because if they are dull from the beginning .... :)
In other Amazon reviews about this razor I had read that one time a week or two should shave with the new product in before you turn in hasty judgments. Meanwhile, I have the new F5790 but used for over a month, and nothing has improved. Nothing at all. So I will definitely make use of the 60-day return guarantee of Remington use, and return the F5790. Two days before I've finally a cheap travel shaver from Braun bought (Brown MobileShave M90 (successor to the PocketGo P70)), who arrived an hour ago, I of course tried it once - and TATAAAA !!! the Brown eats downright greedy by my beard and leaves after three times about it underline a perfectly smooth skin.
To do some root cause analysis: I suspect that the shaving foil of the F5790 has small holes to capture my stubble. The Braun, however, has no round little hole in the foil, but triangular and slightly larger than the Remington. On a weak engine probably liegts not that the Remington Nothing recorded, because that would be heard audibly when the engine speed goes down when applying. So dear Remington product developers: Improves your shaving foil geometry!
Where to eat Looking for processing: The Remington F5790 makes an impeccable impression. Holds up to very valuable, fits comfortably in your hand. Also the trimmer works well. Only the main function, the shaving foil, do not. Thus, the product is absolutely useless for me.
Whether Remington shaver has not even tried this before? That dare to bring such a bad product on the market at all .... I'm glad that there is the 60-day satisfaction guarantee on this shaver, because otherwise I would have annoyed me really, just under 50 euros for something so useless to have thrown out the window.
