I have long been waiting for this sequel and she finally read immediately when I found out that this is only half of the originally planned story. Since Martin seems to be but got stuck in the other half, and "Song of Ice and Fire" - at least the first three volumes - the Olymp of Fantasy literature is one, I have finally ... bitten. That nobody understands me here wrong: Martin can still write like no one else, his characters are of the finest quality. But. Big BUT. These 800 pages bring the epic going anywhere. No highlight, no development. The Kingdom of Westeros languishes in front of him, to lick the wounds of previous battles. Some New is prepared, but in the end it is actually still right where you at the end of the third volume already was, even 800 pages earlier. And sometimes it will get boring. Brienne's story about that ultimately only talks about tens chapter, as it follows a wrong track, but what you know from the outset. That's unforgivable. You feel as a reader at times like a crow on a cadaver that has lain too long in the water and is swollen uncomfortable. We can only hope that still lives in this - fantastic! - Fabric is. And that Martin again gets its act.
