Philippe Val brilliantly shows how we have arrived at a new obscurantism that rejects culture, mainly because the current politicians and media lacking. All bluntly criticize everything, or are indignant because they are anti-systems. In fact they are representatives of a moralist sociologism following their doctrinaire leaving no chance for marginal lesser known utterance. The media are currently a system which calls itself 'detector of good and evil,' and goes into loops on our television channels, without leaving of qualified professionals, but less known the opportunity to express other ideas. All sectarian phenomena or terrorism are immediately attached to a social determinism while these are generally people from the ruling classes fanatisent their followers. Secularism should dominate everywhere, or is challenged, and considered a form of racism, neo-impéraialisme and neo-colonialsme; a real cultural decline, a return to the obscurantism of the nineteenth century. Back to basics, to Jean-Jacques Rousseau, for whom the people must be the sovereign; we saw the devastating effects the twentieth century. We must urgently return to democratic debate. The book of Philip Vall will courageously against the dominant single thought; it is a refresh in multiple books that make the apology.
