The unit is supplied with a matching "case" that without handle and accommodate the power supply is however rather a protective covering. We missed a jack cable for wiring of speaker and playback devices, so we have been able to test only the Bluetooth function.
The build quality is impeccable. The small role (slightly larger than a can of Red Bull) has little rubber feet to underlying operating and a rubber ring on the side of the authorities. The speaker cones are protected by a neatly Watched metal grid. The connection via Bluetooth works well and fast with a Galaxy S2 and is confirmed by a fairly loud signal. Although the signal quality is limited via Bluetooth, we were impressed by the precision of reproduction. However, the bass could be stronger, which one may well expect too much at this size. We were certainly surprised by the sound and also of the volume that you can play this small part distortion. Whether make similar devices better, we can not judge unfortunately for lack of experience. A hearing test with a much cheaper speakers (Sony) was certainly clear in favor of the flip. Great influence on the sound also the player used and the equalizer setting of the same. If necessary, should a custom sound profile make sense, in which some einbremst the heights, but the bass expresses.
For us, the little flip in any case fulfilled all expectations. It is handy, light, provides for the size of an amazingly good sound and if required high volume. Who primarily hears bass heavy music, might not get their money if there is, however, the size of real bass, we doubt. The price for such a gadget indeed quite high, millions of restaurant-owners may yet but the trust in JBL wrong not ?! A charge indicator still have (the speaker switched sometime without warning from) and a jack cable to be there for full 5 stars.
