I do not notice the volume but the saga. I loved this saga devouring all volumes. It is rhythmic, full of action, plots, turnovers that keep us in suspense throughout. The world in which the action takes place is well thought: realism is preserved, the proposed new (magic, beliefs, politics, etc.) are interconnected and we are changing the usual stories. Personally, I put it in No. 1 of heroic fantasy with royal assassin. Share of heroes who by their human shortcomings, and a magical power which remains controlled [magic limited capacity and time; risk of abandoning it; etc.], it provides a set constant danger, the hero can switch to the dark side, or get lost in the magic, etc. They supplant my taste other series (Lord of the Rings [too lengths] the Belgariad [too simpleton], ...).
