I was forced by regulations, two large trees to cut down (a juniper (very hard wood) and a blue spruce with considerable girth) in my lease garden, and I needed a new chainsaw. At Juniper, I removed a few years ago a side branch with my old King Power-saw what could be accomplished extremely difficult (despite new chain). My decision was made on the DOLMAR ES-173A whose purchase I do not regret at all. In about 60 minutes I had two trees cut down and crushed and the ES-173A showed absolutely no difficulties.
The only shortcoming is the my view inappropriately fitted oil filler and some small oil tank which overflows when filling quickly.
But that is peanuts compared to the excellent performance of the saw.
