This is the second I bought (I foolishly broken the first). I do not see how I can do without it! I make my brown meat on all sides in the pan on my stove, I flour, I add the vegetables a little water or broth and presto! I program in general for 8:00 at low temperatures. All we go about our daily business and our return, a pleasant fragrance invites us to come to the table :) We leave the leftovers in the pan and we do reheat the next day on the stove. The instructions recommend using the slow cooker to reheat dishes. Caution thermal shock: this is how I broke my first!
