He who laughs last, laughs best known. And all those who have RAMMSTEIN hasty sell-out accused just because they let go already after 1 year waiting period a new album on the panting fan base, may close their whetted knife quickly. Because "Rose Red" has become anything but a leftovers or a musical imitation. I even personally think that RAMMSTEIN could increase again compared to "Travel", and have carved out a slice, which is much wider-ranging much of their stylistic bandwidth than all previous works. The mixture is just right !!! So of course there is again typical RAMMSTEIN Feger as the single "petrol", "destroy" or the cool "man to man", which go without detours directly to the dance floor or in the neck muscles. Lyrically it provides in the latter song again duly explosive because you addressed the subject of homosexuality with a (usual) winking eye. But who knows the RAMMSTEIN-humor, of course, knows that you should not take anything at face value. Personally, I can smile about it in any case well. But back to the music, because it really has it all ... After the first Hördurchlauf notice that the band is looking to increase quieter tones, as already in the "old" songs like "Without You", "mother" or "Amour" prevailed. RAMMSTEIN return here their emotional, deep side to the outside, but can always enough room for occasional musical bursts. Brilliant gems as "Where are you", "Do not die before me" (incidentally, the first time with the support of a guest singer) and the towering stalker anthem "fire and water" spray just before so melancholy and gloomy feelings. Music that has become emotions that may cause only a German band in this form. Here is once again abundantly clear how much Till Lindemann has evolved as a singer, as he stamped "unique" and "incomparable" imprints the songs every second of playing time. And great mid-tempo Stampfer as "Spring", "Help me" or the beautiful catchy "Rosenrot" would get on any other RAMMSTEIN album top marks. In addition to all the existing band typical trademarks, but there is to experience even 2 whopper of surprises that you certainly could not be expected as a fan. With "Te quiero puta" the listener the first RAMMSTEIN song is in fact presented in Spanish, which convince with cool brass inserts, and its rousing, latent Mexico flair white. And finally, the album is ausgeläutet with the very quiet "A Song", which is only supported by Acoustic Guitar and Keyboard. A song that is lyrically focused as a tribute to their own fans, and thus brings a thoroughly enjoyable album to the point. Conclusion: "Rose Red" has become anything but a disappointment. A very strong album that is kept free to success of RAMMSTEIN for the next few years. Just great !!!
