The Sound of the Valley of Death

Customer Review

I was never a big fan of Marilyn Manson, but I now got this album paid & I thought me a little ears might give it time indeed. And I must say that this musical work his money's worth (although that was not the case with me). The whole album has a very melancholic and sombre-looking atmosphere. With songs such as "GodeatGod" (for me the best song on the album, lyrically and musically; a very oppressive piece of music), "Target Audience", "Cruci-Fiction in Space", "A Place in the Dirt," "The Nobodies "" The Death Song "(also great text - Today I'm dirty, wanna be pretty, tomorrow I'm just dead)" Count to Six and the "are all works that I would not necessarily expect me & why have all the more excited. Nevertheless, there were also again this typical MM-pieces that could never convince myself (eg "The Love Song", "The Fight Song" and "Coma Black"), as the hard-sounding drums and the highly distorted guitars (which in some cases simply unimaginative song structures) have the songs always somehow been something cheap, whereas this sound strangely like a glove fits on the songs first mentioned on the eye. Anyway, the disc is definitely a purely objective crystal clear production (whether a sound like it or not), it has a great cover artwork, the songs are both quantitative and qualitative terms (at least most) of very high quality, and who would have thought that can put the good Marilyn much charisma in his voice, as he does here? So everyone who likes to be a little bit clumsy, gloomy music and damn good lyrics to his ear, should access here. Thank you
