The first one was a freebie because I have overlooked the fact that he is not regularly recognized by both Vista 32-bit as well as Windows 7 64-bit and must be reformatted. So save any important data on it.
On my first stable Transcend stick was still running after I formatted it with NTFS. While this is fine for data on the PC, but my DVD player with USB port can only FAT32 formatted drives with max. 4GB manage and that's why I bought again me such a "small". The failed despite already low-level format at the first reading.
My conclusion: If you want to save any important data on it, and enjoy it, has regularly watch the cute progress bar of Windows formatting, is well served with a Transcend flash drive.
All others should leave it alone.
