The Spotify experience

I appreciate this very band and accompany their work since "There is nothing left .." and of course also know the two debut albums. For me, Dave Grohl has always been an exceptional artist who has mastered not only many instruments but also has a flair for rock'n'roll and can pack his messages into powerful tunes.

After me, the media hype has irritated to "Sonic Highways" at first (why have the Foos that necessary?) Has until recently annoyed simple (hardly a video on YouTube without the Sonic Highway Jingle before - you go ask for ??), I was after live on Facebook streamed concert from the Cubby Bear finally operated in Chicago: an uninspired FF Combo weak set list and an arrogant, swearing frontman. As Grohl came sayings like: "Well, you know, the director in me ...." (based on Grohl's role as a director of music documentary "Sonic Highway" on HBO). Okay, I thought, this artist slowly crossing the threshold into megalomania. And then constant use of the F-word and its variations (motherf ...). Really every 5 minutes! Mir is noticed in the past, increasingly at him and think it's just wrong. What probably heard at Eminem and Cypress Hill to artistic performance, has to look for me im not rock. You can hear or not rare in Ozzy, Steven, Alice, David, Lemmy or other rock giants.

So much for the history and the reason why I have not the same cut on Monday to "1-Click Buy" but my new album have only once consulted for free on Spotify. Since I use a free account there, the songs in the album are not all reproduced sequentially but mixed with songs from older albums. So I could now 3 hours listening to all Sonic songs and in between many old Foo classics. Two things struck me:

1. The Foos have written outstanding songs that still so take me with you today as the first listen. Here is one of them, none of the new songs.
2. All songs have a structure, a musical message, touch different emotions in me. Unfortunately, none of the new songs.

Maybe I just did not understand the concept behind Sonic highways, perhaps I lack the knowledge of the HBO series (which I will not look out of principle). But if you want to incorporate the idiosyncrasies of American hotspots in terms of music in his songs, I wonder why, in "Something for nothing", which has arisen in the Blues capital Chicago, so a boring rehash of great songs "I Should Have Known "has become of the predecessor WastingL? Where are the much talked about influences?

I'll Sonic Highway as an attempt, the person does not appeal to me, will instead The Color, One by One and throw echoes in the Player and The Pretender come off as the present day is also appropriate to the music of one of the best rock bands.
