As the first work is the new game a flawless Gag Adventure. Almost every sentence is to act funny, contained an ironic allusion or a giant hoot. That's a tricky task, because to be funny, is a serious matter. In the camps of dealers and software companies many games collecting dust that tried this but were only silly, corny and a bit tiring. But the makers of Unwritten Tales prove again a good sense of humor. Unplug primarily Fantasy, SiFi and RPG clichés and classic through the mud. A sense of humor, which is well received by the target audience of such adventures and has already work on the first part. Fortunately, the developers have not only limited in the "cattle Chronicles" it. Instead the umpteenth WoW joke there're also swipes on animal welfare organizations, penguins animation films and Reinhold Messner.
The ease of operation is exemplary as in the first part. I would like to emphasize the vanishing to use hot spots (if no longer needed). This ensures that always remains the amount of interaction clearly.
Technically, there are no complaints from me, far from it. After installing the patch 1:03 I had a single crash or the like (Windows 7 - System). The graphics look really pretty is made for an adventure game and the voice actors are all of the highest quality. One feels sometimes like in an animated film.
With plenty of light there are also a little shade. Starting with the fact that one notices the game that it was originally planned as a kind of supplementary CD. Although the actual playing time has not so small as I had feared, but there are unfortunately far too little action places and accordingly hardly any variation. The vast majority of the game so that you spend between 4 different snow images back and forth to run that change subtly with continuing failed tender action. In between, there are times then a mage tower, a mini-dirigible and a mini-submarine. That's it.
The second major shortcoming is the typical problem of Gag Adventure. The puzzle design is in some places quite questionable. Curiosity is too often placed on logic. For example, I have to attack my friend and companion in one place with an ax, in order to get your hair out of his coat, was just one of several places to which I have come rather by random trial and error, as by consistent thought.
All in all, it's still a fun and recommendable game at a great price. Expensive it would, however, also may not be, because due to the low activity (variety) affects the game is not like a real full-price product like the predecessor or games like "Lost Horizon" or "A New Beginning".
