You choose the type of tea (green, black, oolong ....), or herbal tea. The kettle heats the water to the required temperature, depending on the type of tea. When the water is hot, the basket (magnetic) drops alone in water and infused for a specified time. Then it automatically goes back out of the water, which prevents the tea is bitter (especially green tea).
You can also activate the hold function warm (lasting 1 hour).
Easy to program, and easy handling.
The temperature and brewing time, although originally programmed by the manufacturer depending on the type of tea, be changed at will by the user.
The teapot also feature a kettle to heat water to 100 ° C.
Quantities: the maximum is 1.2 L / tea tisane and 1.5 L for hot water.
Aesthetics: I'm not ashamed to bring it to the table when I have guests. The chrome design / glass is sober. It also has the advantage of being transported without problem and without burning (= athermal handle that does not heat).
Mix of tastes: I drink mostly flavored teas and I have not met flavors mixing problem, unlike a user. When I change tea I rinse out the basket and the teapot, that is enough.
Maintenance: From time to time I get out a bottle brush to rub the back of the magnetic ramp, just in case, but I never noticed any particular mold or dirt. Note that you should never put water underneath the pot (where are located the electrical contacts).
I say this for those who would like to rinse out with water ...
I have young children and no time to monitor the infusion of tea. Before having this teapot, I often found myself with a whole teapot good to throw away, because I was busy elsewhere and that I had forgotten the tea leaves inside. And in addition, the tea was cold. Now, if I take the time to prepare the tea, it is always good, and I even a good chance of the hot drink! It's nice.
The construction seems solid, and after three years of daily use, I have so far encountered no problems.
It is a teapot I highly recommend despite its higher cost. Because it is worth it, and you too :-)
