The songs on this absolutely exceptional work, as there will never be one again, are all metal classics, the eindrechen brachial and absolutely ruthless on the hearing of the listener.
The opening track "Angel of Death", often geschollten for his text, it is still the hottest with song by Slayer ever. The incredibly aggressive build on this song, virtuosity, go with which Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman at this piece of art, the hatred in Tom Araya's voice and thundering double-bass attacks of Dave Lombardo can only come to a conclusion:
In this piece it is simply the best ever by a metal songs and in my opinion it's the Slayer song ever.
Another highlight is "Altar of Sacrifice", with the traditional -also at concerts thereafter following- "Jesus Saves". Both are incredibly hard and fast numbers, which mainly Araya incredibly fast Lyrics creates the day. Especially The second one is one of the absolutely hardest songs ever.
"Post Mortem" is almost considering the other songs of the album a quiet song, but bludgeons and rattles it to every nook and cranny. With the end of this song the most famous Slayer song even begins, namely "Raining Blood" that probably the fastest number of this album. In addition to "Angel of Death" the best song of the album and also otherwise in Slayer history of this song is to be found at the top. A rather short song but to convince over its entire length and a white can simply shrug his neck, that is every second of the song in front of a broken neck.
The songs in between are all at an incredibly high level, but behind these pearls back something.
In conclusion remains to say that this album its reputation more than deserved. Who only rudimentary can do anything with metal and thrash metal, must be this album in his shelf. A clear Pfichtkauf!
