With "Talkie Walkie" Air have even brought more beautiful songs on the market! However: I had initially expected more. Love at first glance it was with me and "Talkie Walkie" not (in contrast to its predecessors' 10,000 Hertz Legend "and" Moon Safari "). At first sight, everything seemed quite counterintuitive. It was only after repeated listening were the plate and I really close friends. Beautiful, flowing songs dominate the album, a rather quiet work - striking I found the time signature in every song, a metro omar term ticking, sometimes like a clock, sometimes faster, depending on ... remembered the album so in the course of times, made me melancholy to pleasant way, let the films run in the head. My favorites: "Mike Mills", "Alone In Kyoto" and "Surfing On A Rocket"! The latter is a song with music qualities, where it is also rocking the point. Funny I find "Alpha Beta Gaga" - "like a Tamagotchi on Ecstasy" I read somewhere about the song, which I think, however, exaggerated ... :) Depending on the song had airs music for me echoes of 10CC, the Smashing Pumpkins and classical. Beautiful music, but in retrospect I think is not their best work. But for Air-fans absolutely beautiful, worth listening to, once again a dream trip! And therefore still 5 stars! Nevertheless, again more of "10,000 Hz Legend", the mystique of this album and also a bit more power in this direction I would wish for the next album of the French! The "Limited Edition" is a nice idea, as you can on the accompanying DVD Dunckel and Godin to experience backstage and live - a round thing!
