We often wonder where is coming from Muriel Barbery paying highly philosophical and literary reflections to a woman everyone sees "ordinary" but in fact, is extraordinary and refined ... this is the story of a dark secret!
the writer cultivates the paradox throughout this book all at once, enchants and confuses (another paradox!) The characters are all atypical and sailing in a mini sclerotic society they would like to escape. The whole is a mix of gravity and powerful humor.
The first 150 pages have blies me sometimes confusing and difficult to assimilate; the rest is pure happiness despite some fast and end a tad judgmental.
I alternately loved and hated but I have been through and really regret it .... a book mark!
