To date, the interpretations of Lorraine Hunt Lieberson especially of Handel's music are unmatched, and probably will remain so for a long time. Your full, always warm and incredibly expressive, crystal-clear in the level voice for the baroque repertoire as created. Your Stimmmumfang is large, their technique especially for fast passages, trills and coloratura perfect. Above all, she sings always with perfectly genuine emotion and with intense expression - not to be touched by her singing, is impossible. In this collection, which gives a nice impression in Hunts recordings of Handel, you can enjoy primary intimate and somewhat slower arias in which Hunts dark, wonderful vocal tone is especially nicely. The deeply emotional "Vieni, o figlio" comes inevitably to tears, like the arias from the oratorio "Theodora". In "Va col canto," which is about a nightingale, delight the legato and trills of course, also some surprising, crystal clear high notes. "Barbaro" is rather quick and marked by angry emotional outbursts and rapid Koloraturauspassagen. Added to arias from the "Messiah" - ever all genres, cantata, oratorio and operatic aria, are represented. A nice little collection, although I doubt that the handset will enter with so little music of this wonderful singer who has unfortunately gone too soon, satisfied.
