This CD of collectors Labels FTD contains the last of the 6 recorded concerts.
In the original version of the film no song of this show has been used (it was probably already only small parts recorded because they had filmed of most songs already masterful versions) was on the VHS video "The Lost Performances" and in the 2001 Special Edition it then but to see excerpts of this show (easily recognizable by the red belt the Elvis did not contribute to other shows and the stark contrast with the bright jumpsuit)
And even then only songs which were used Elvis had not put forward in the other shows - about his Vorjahresmonsterhit "In the Ghetto".
That leaves it to close the filmmakers came to the same conclusion as I have, from the 6 recorded concerts is here present the weakest - but that does not mean a long weak.
The set list is a stunner, the band plays - as always - fantastic and the contact with the audience is also because, without which there is too much. (Before the introduction of the band which shows a little banter was cut, but there is nothing of importance can ignore it, especially since it audibility rather benefit of. Also on the TTWII box and the "One Night In Vegas" has been slightly cut)
Only downside, besides the economical presentation, here unfortunately the King himself.
Elvis sings not quite as powerful as the other concerts in this series, and here and there something unclean.
Still, it's fun to listen to the concert, especially since the admixture is first class. And a mittlemässiger 1970 Elvis is simple still head and shoulders above many other singer in top form, and even Elvis's shows were not better in the coming years, therefore, as a recording every fan is of course very welcome.
But who is the no Hardcorefan may waive this CD and prefer to buy instead "Thats The Way It Is" 3 CD Box. There you also get a concert in this series, but one in which everything fits - and on the third CD and the most interesting songs of the other 5 shows. So also the rarities of this concert.
It's quite possible that we already have this late summer, along with the release of the film on Blue Ray, enjoy another show.
Hopefully then even the one or the other (full) sample of this concert career section, which marks the last true artistic peak in Elvis career, made available.
To wish it would be.
