In the past two years I have tried many razors, Braun and Philips, as well as of the more exotic brands Remington and Panasonic. All razor lay in the price region of 100 euros. Von Braun I was very disappointed, quality and design have apparently fallen sharply, with the shaving I was not satisfied. Two models were defective within one year. The brand I would no longer currently considering. By Philips I had a Nivea Cool Skin shaver and two models from the Arcitec series, the latter mainly because it pleased me very well and very quiet work. This Philips shaver were good, but not very good. The shaving was indeed satisfactory, though not perfect, and took a long time to complete. Too bad, because the design of the devices plays a role for me, and the Philips Arcitec Shaver liked me the best by far. At the end only the Panasonic 8101 was in the race. This Panasonic is excellent. In terms of quality of shaving, skin protection and speed of the Panasonic beats all others hands down. Although the shave is not as quiet as the Philips, but is quick, clean and above all without significant skin irritation. For me, by far the best shaver in this price segment.
Update: One battery charge is enough for me well over a week. Incidentally, I find it very good that a fold Langahaarschneider is integrated. In daily use, an invaluable asset and indispensable for me (sideburns, beard, ears ...). That's what I missed eg difficult in some other razors (Philips). UPDATE: This trimmer is designed though a bit weak after some use it clamps happy times and then pulls over to intersect. One should, therefore, often oil and clean it. But that is the only thing I could fault this shaver.
