There are no quality problems in durability (breakup, etc.). Although the first delivery had this exact problem and was broken, however, was that on the packaging "A1" from Amazon, which is simply too shallow and the shearing blade insufficient protection from other people to be squeezed on the shipping. After complaining arrived promptly a neatly packaged product.
At the beginning everything was very sharp, after about 2 weeks which had then, as unfortunately usual, decreased significantly, but without being really blunt. You can tell only the clearly audible noise while shaving.
So far everything no problem. But: From the outset, shave with the new shaving foil is a tedious affair. I had previously still the original "Smartfoil" shear blade on the Series 5 and shaving was ok. With the new "OptiFoil" but you have honestly shave about 10 to 15 times over a point until it is really smooth. The morning shave lasts so instead of 5 is now about 15 minutes. The problem is that the new "optimized" shaving foil for a not catch all hairs (even at simple places like on the cheek) and on the other hand, the few that are shaved, not thoroughly cuts, but only the top few tenths of a millimeter " abhobelt ", so you have to shave the same hair repeatedly. This takes time and requires corresponding course the skin.
So note 6 in effectiveness, grade 6 in thoroughness and grade 6 in skin protection. Here Brown has thoroughly grasped the new oh so great Scherblatt layout next. "Opti" thing is probably only the lower material usage thanks to larger holes in the foil.
Conclusion for me: Bravo Brown - customer vergrault successfully. I'm going to the still fully functioning Series 5 shaver replace with a new device (though certainly not more of Brown). New strategy: Instead of again sometime nachzukaufen shaving parts, rather take a razor, which costs only a little more, and then after 2 to 3 years, instead of shearing parts replace the whole unit.
