60 children, time pressure by the end of the ceremony.
Rasch confirmed, the autofocus is in interaction with the XF56 not the fastest, comes under these difficult conditions not at the pace of a combination 5DMKII / 85 1.8 ran, though: you get quite good so clear, assuming you think a veeery little bit ahead, preparing for the right moment.
The next, even more important question for me was how well the AF sits !!!
With over 400 photos more on-chip (Highly Recommended: 95 MB / s write speed) I was curious about the result. And that has exceeded all my expectations.
Although I have photographed a lot of the pictures with aperture between 1.2 and 2.0, the Committee moved by focussing almost to 0. stunning as sharply defined the 56er even at maximum aperture.
The image appearance, the color, the voice automatic white balance, the plasticity in the images, the Acuity blur course, the Bokeh, a dream .. The image noise even at ISO 3200 highly discreet.
Any image Committee on that day I had to answer for itself.
The overall result has the power of the combination Canon 5DMKII / 85 1.8 (, not to mention the Sigma 85 / 1.4, I own also) absolutely exceeded.
Positive also how discreet you can take pictures with the small X-E2. Even with the 56er, the camera remains unobtrusive. Hardly a child who was distracted through photography, no priest who feels disturbed
Nett with what mild-pitying smile I will of many father who is armed with D800, D4s or 5dMkIII including thick glass lumps, patterned. Can the little one at all Photos!?, So the non-verbal message.
Several church celebrations and countless rave of the parents photos later, I know: Yes, you can. And how!
My conclusion: The X-E2 is an excellent camera that gives very good results even under adverse lighting conditions (in my case, in conjunction with the Fujinon XF56). Yes, I would like to see the AF would be a little faster, but the image quality is excellent, even and especially in combination with the dream look XF 56 / 1.2.
Strong buy recommendation!

- Power Management: ON
- Pre-AF: AN (a side note: despite the two power-hungry settings has been sufficient a battery charge for approximately 400 photos.
