The X-Wing Hype - A differentiated approach

This is done out of the perspective of a long-standing tabletop game experience, so I formulate it this way: For a beginner or novice, this is one of the best Tabletops, also against the background of the value Verhältnises. One gets good figures and a solid control system (more on that later) for a fair price. For an experienced or long-term player the pitfalls and gaps open up this Match unfortunately quickly after a few games. I'll write in the result only slightly higher than the gameplay, as some reviewers have already written extensively about.

The rules:
A compressed system from older tabletop systems, with many elements from the game Confrontation (and its offshoots or creative minds as Armalion and Demonworld) serve as a basic structure. Of course, it is clear that especially in the TT (Tabletop) area a great difficulty is to reinvent the wheel. Nevertheless, the relevant rules were well summarized and the playability is generally good, what newcomers benefit enormously. The basic version of the game is to play quickly, the tactical moment is not lost and also makes a lot of fun. The expert rules, however, this pressure was not.
One can buy ships together for a certain number of points. Favored by these rules, it is easy to drive a blockade tactics against other spaceships that may have much higher point costs and at this moment the tactical aspect of the game is completely flutes. Why? Because the rules based on the classic two-dimensional TTs and completely disregards that there is a third dimension in space. While one would have in X-Wing can solve that problem simply by each player a second dial is (with "Dodge" or "collision" options when it comes to touch the base).
'Yes, well, one can indeed free shoot off', some will say. That's true, but the luck factor is then but spread too thinly. Mainly because most Tabletops generate results in tables, which is cumbersome, but reduces the luck factor by expectation values ​​from. This of course makes such a TT somewhat unwieldy. But in order to stay in X-Wing, this is the luck factor at the level of a risk-game, the game is faster but also the tactical elements rapidly broken.

The models:

Negative points: The models are sensitive to the state of the bases always make the impression as if the next touch the figure last. Basically very good. Because the ships are produced in batches and are permanently sold out ^^ accounts addiction purchases. You do not exceed the 100 euro mark to get a passable tabletop and two solid forces. That must be quite high count here.
The crux of the matter - and therefore the game has nothing to do - is the availability. Of course, it becomes immediately clear that FFG has been surprised by the success of the game and not enough were delicate Chinese hands in the meantime. But the abnormal price gouging and the wrong alimentation "out of print" that put some dealers currently to day, is somewhat disturbing.
The game is only OOP when it is no longer manufactured. It is advisable to wait until the next push.
