I bought the sun visor for the obvious reason that they 40-150 1 sunlight and scattered light from Olympus: 4-5.6 R to discourage, but I was disappointed with the contrast ratio of the photo when I shoot in clear weather on the mountain in low-lying Sun made. The reason was found quickly: While the sun visor keeps direct sunlight, but the inside generates so much scattered light that affects the dynamic range of the photo. Normally, the inside of a sun visor is almost "lichttot" if it is designed properly. So much so that the Canon Gegenlichblenden coated inside with my very expensive Objetiven with a black, velvety material in which there is virtually zero reflections. Olympus used only plastic, but the material with the corresponding shape is also very effective. Quite different is the JJC sun visor of this review: The inside reflects very strong, either by unsuitable plastic or by its shape (or both). In the meantime I bought the original of Olympus and the difference is huge. First, the panel fits better (can turn up very easily and lose weight, but still clean snaps) and the inside does what it should: it does not reflect virtually. Olympus LH-61D Lens Hood 58mm (40-150mm lens)
A picture is worth a 1000 words, so I uploaded a customer image for this item. Both Lens Hood for 40-150mm Olympus and JJC. Same position of the camera and the iris, the same exposure settings, same lamp used, same position, same everything. One can see the difference between the two Gegenlichblenden is huge.
JJC went back with me and with the original I'm happy now.
- UPDATE - The uploaded image of me is gone. For whatever reason. In the picture you have seen the original underneath the sun visor of Olympus and down from JJC. In the picture you could clearly see that the inside of JJC extremely strong incident light is reflected while the inside of the panel of Olympus almost does not reflect light, as is usual for a sun visor.
