But then something happened: "Word As Weapons" it was, whether suddenly anginge a light! This was followed by eight emotional, strong, intimate songs, all composed by Jasmine Van den Bogaerde (albeit with the support of co-writer).
It happened one more thing: I took again their debut album "Birdy", which threatened to be honest on the shelf to gather dust or to vanish in the music database and found that I liked their cover songs quite extraordinarily good, it has namely made to their own songs. Currently that comes to mind in relation to the last decade, only Katie Melua as an interpreter on such a grand scale one.
I am glad to have "Birdy" that time is not evaluated more than 2 stars would not become. Sometimes it's better to remain silent only once, as in the case of "Fire Within", well, I only have a couple of days pass and my anger about the use of Neil Young song name have let fade away ;-)
"Fire Within" is something very simple: music! Guitar, piano and a few playful and underpainting: a unique voice that finally grabs me at least once again, just like Katie Melua, KT Tunstall and Amy MacDonald.
And the best part: Birdy is only 19 and impressively proves what John Lennon already knew: "In the past not everything was better"!
5+ star for an artist, which I expect a lot!
