I own the PS4 since 1 day and am gamble almost every day on and thus can give a very good estimate!
I like a little kid looking forward to this console and could not wait to unwrap it!
From the dealer it was, with belted PS4, home, joyfully showed the parents and from the room! (Even with 20 goes something still ;-))
Open the package as if it were a house of cards that could collapse immediately! Through the countless reports of the mistakes of the PS4 my first look Fiehl immediately to the HDMI input. Everything great! The PS4 countless minutes watched, Beigeisterung thoroughly about the style. Now came the plug, which was quick and without any problems. The supplied cables (HDMI / UBS / network cables etc.) are top.
Fearful of the Blue Light of Death I launched the PS4, but without problems. To this day, there were no problems, no overheating or crashing!
Packing:
The packaging has to be said that one can immediately see that Sony has here made very clear thoughts. I've looked at a video to Xbox One "opening" ... I was frightened, as übersersichtlich is the packaging. In the PS4 is all arranged super, well thought out and you can very quickly unpack everything. Top has since been preparing lots of fun to me!
Controller:
Him love the controller almost more than the PS4 itself. Short and sweet: Sony has just perfected the controller. Everything the DualShock (DS) has been missing 3, improved or implemented here!
It fits perfectly in your hand, no slides, perfect coverage to all buttons and sticks to. I would not give the best out of the hand controller. Is largely due to the "rough" surface beneath of the controller, which provides the optimum grip and this also looks chic.
The L2 / R2 buttons looks were super improved feel good and optimal pressure strength.
The sticks are perfect through the notch for controlling / steering / goals. It does not slip off or else has a disturbing feeling.
Touchpad:
The touchpad is not (yet) been buden relatively restrained, but it reacts super (if you can use it) and it makes to use the card as a fun smartphone for example in AC4.
Share button:
The Share button is a sensible and cooel supplement for me. I use them quite often, especially when I have a super stats in BF4, I want to show my friends or even if I had a cool / funny scene that I want to save. It is the function that the last 15 minutes can be saved as a video is the best supplement for me! Since you can not influence many random & events and one has previously thought "why has no one seen the now" or "eh believes me", this function can exactly save these moments. TOP! In addition, the quality of the videos is very good, although not 1: 1 as the live image, but I would say it comes close to 90%, more than adequate.
Thus, I am more than convinced of the controller! Kudos to Sony!
Now we come to the console:
First impression:
The first impression was, as described above, the madness. Optically very classy and super processed. Especially the light beams in the midst of the PS4 looks fantastic. Lights blue when starting and during use white (hopefully I have not reversed now!)
Total optical top! Once again a compliment to Sony.
Volume:
After I read some reviews here, a lot to me, I can say little about the volume. For me personally not at all fall on whether the PS4 is running or not, because while gambling it is so quiet that I would never have come forward to say something about the volume. Apart from starting a game when you can hear for 10sec. a zoom, which can still be disregarded, since it is by no means disturbing for this time.
Dashboard (main menu):
The main menu looked for me on Videso from always relatively confusing at first glance, which, however, not confirmed. After 2-3min. rumspielerrei menu you find yourself the most marvelous and you get the feeling, you know the menu for years. For me, a very positive sign.
Changing of the settings / options PlayStore or inserted disc runs super smooth and fast. I'm very satisfied, but I put the menu duck against little claims, so I'm relatively quickly satisfied.
Power:
Now we come to the most important point of the review, the performance of the PS4. How good is it? You notice a difference?
Clear and simple: Jaa! Who notices no difference here who has either before or played or suffers from cognitive impairment no console. From the first minute on, I was excited and this enthusiasm extends to today! Every day I am excited about the (mostly) graphics and speed of the console.
For me, it is almost as different as day and night. Alone the graphic difference is 400 value.
The games are more colorful and teiweise I wonder when playing, if that's not a real-time photo, when I look at the environment!
In addition to the graphics I am sometimes as amazed by the rapidity of the PS4. If you press while playing the PS Tase so you find yourself within 1 second in the dashboard! One can navigate there, as if no game running in the background. You notice no difference! Just as the game is done zurückspirngen to within 1 second. Long story short: The downloading in the background runs over smoothly and feherlos, so you would not even bermekt in terms of performance loss or lag.
Heat:
Yes, if you anfässt the PS4 at a certain point, you notice the heat, but it is cold again 4cm away. Thus, the unit heats not completely but in a radius of 4-5cm. As I said above, I had no problem of overheating and I think it will definitely remain exceptional cases.
Mono Headset:
At first I really thought: "That can only be bad", but I was wrong! The idea of being able to plug in the headset to the controller is great! This saves you an annoying long cable for TV, etc. (except of course Bluetooth)
With a "bracket", which is located on the cable, the cable can be located at the sweater / t-shirt etc. fix. The clamp does not slip off or does not dissolve, but fits perfectly!
The headset itself is indeed enclosed without soft fabric, so you might be afraid after a while it hurts the ear. However, this is not the case, even after 3-4 hours. Intense gaming fans I had not even begin to feel a pain. The biggest surprise is the sound or voice quality for me. This is 1A! Had I not thought it will be both very well understood than that very well hear the partners! Super adequate for fun with friends. Pro gamers it will probably not be enough, but for gamers who simply like to gamble online with buddies, it is really good and sufficient.
Only a volume control missing me every now and then but it would also only perfecting the volume. As such, the volume is optimal. In conclusion, I prefer that the console 400 is definitely worth it. Even 800 I would have paid a lot and no regrets! The next-gen Feeling is already outstanding and I look forward to the future, in which the performance of the PS4 will show even more clearly! But I'm already at the beginning of more than convinced of the power and graphics of the console. Also, the controller has been perfectly optimized, making the games even more fun!
