... But a party, it is in any case. I am not one of the lucky ones who bought this on vinyl already 22 years ago and am only his recently so correctly Talking Heads "fan" (even if I do not like the word). With high expectations (not least because of the review here), I've bought this and just made the mistake of doing it in the subway in my Discman, because it has almost hit me from the seat. Live Cd's are often indeed a disappointment, but here: insanely great sound, mistaken versions of songs and an indescribable David Byrne on CD1 and an equally indescribable Adrian Belew (guitar with King Crimson, Bowie, etc.) on Cd 2! We present concerts of 4 years. First 1977 6 numbers from 77 album and one that was voher think I not yet published. You can hear the young 4 Talking Heads who deliver technically great job and the songs in long and partially freakigeren versions (The Book I Read) bring. Highlight here the rhythm section Tina Weymouth and Chris Frantz, and the great interplay of Gitarissten Byrne and Jerry Harrison. 1978 shows the Talking Heads from their funkiest side. Highlights can be found here not because all 5 songs are equal fascinating. 1979 you can hear David Byrne how he is completely madness expire (Mind!)! More can not be said so. For the Remain in Light Tour 1980/81, the Talking Heads a bunch of guest musicians (Adrian Belew, Steve Scales, etc.) and backup singers brought. A friend of such great bands I'm not so, but here it works splendidly. The songs are presented in very earthy versions and here I find particularly great as you attempt it the sound of the rhythm section. You can feel the bass exactly where you want. This plate is not just for the fan a must, but for each of funky music like an absolute listening pleasure! Almost dance music, but so disco ;-)
