Positives:
- The tripod leg is robust and high quality (aluminum) with secure locking (Kuststoffklemmen)
- The Staivbein is swivel (U-shaped cross-section)
- With 180cm extension length always sufficient
- The robust and simple quick coupling allows the removal of the camera
- The mosgummiartige handle is easy to grip and pleasant. It is completely odorless with me
Neutral:
- The tiltable by 90 ° tripod head allows portraits. To this end, the base is easily tilted on the edge. However Kammera no longer sits on the center of gravity, oblique shots provoked.
Negatives:
- The chunky tripod head makes no robust impression (plastic hinges, large lever forces)
- The plastic used does not make impression of quality (hard plastic, scratch-sensitive)
- The arm of the tripod head is useless and annoying. I suspect that was taken here without thinking of the tripod head of a tripod. By photographing ramming this arm in the chest, without (have videographers perhaps other experiences) to come up with the eye to the viewfinder
- Unfortunately Hama used on this stand another adapter plate as my tripod "Hama profile 74" Hmph - so I did not really expect. (This is for single users but irrelevant)
Tip:
The swivel arm can unscrewed without effort and be exchanged for a standard M8 bolt of sufficient length. Without screw tilts the head. A monopod requires no pan and tilt head. These movements can be a monopod to become! Leg photographing therefore arm against screw dive, fix and forget ...
Conclusion:
The not very stable, therefore coming tripod head, I believe, nevertheless sufficient for standard SLR with (heavy) Tele. The tripod head has too many adjustment functions. Only the tilting function for portraits is perhaps practically with light cameras. The tilt and rotation axes are unnecessary and only drive the weight and complexity to the top. Here would have been less.
The advantages of the Monopods outweigh yet.
It served its purpose, can in unfavorable light conditions, some stops more and is quick to set up, dismantled and assembled / disassembled at the camera. The adapter plate is not the same with other Hama tripods, has disappointed me!
The price-performance ratio of the stand was fine for me (20 EUR) The retail price I would not pay. As you get a different quality league of competitors.
A professional device is the Star 78 Mono remembered not because of to an end and cheaply made plastic head does not (but could by the superb Aluminiumeinbein what it takes)
If I use what is offered to the purchase price in relation, 4 stars are still attached.
