"The Evil Within" is a mixture of the two above mentioned games.
The first impression was only times not so great. The freedom of movement as well as the possibilities for action are more likely to find less in the prologue. Instead, just passing and control learning. Was fine. But nothing more.
Now, as a few hours later, I'm quite in good spirits with "The Evil Within".
It attracts with actor Sebastian detectives by various places, from the abandoned mansion, over dirty Farms, to any uncomfortable lakeshores. The monsters are different and relatively well distributed. Only they can be with the few weapons such as. Pistol, rifle or crossbow and the rare ammunition only conditionally good "do". Although Sebastian can strike with his fists, but that takes about 10 blows to the opponent either loses his head or just deadly lies on the ground. Then you have with matches that are rarely found, torching the undead, so they do not get up again. There may be a reward, but usually you will be disappointed.
In between, there are larger opponents that demand a lot of skill.
This can often times bites while the grass is perfectly normal.
And here comes my biggest problem. You can only save at certain points (a dream world in the mirror) which are very rare. Or at the end of each chapter. Checkpoints are there, but they are enabled only after large areas. So you die just in front of the next point, you can do it all over again from the beginning. And that's partly a half hour of play. Slightly more checkpoints would have been so already attached. Even better - Save when it suits me.
The graphics is an annoying pain. Light bugs, such as dangling sheets or grass that position themselves in front of the camera, so that you can see nothing, are disturbing. And otherwise is even visible on the new console just mediocre at graphics quality. Very "modestly" I think it's 21: 9 - format. The stupid black bars at the top and bottom of the screen are not as desired by the developers claustrophobic and creepy. No, simply prune only the foresight and reduce the game experience quite awful. Ugh. Such a thing should be banned in video games. Although Cinema Zoom function on TV goes, but intersects the side content way. And more is not seen then also. So is also stupid.
Sound and music are super tuned and make slight creepy mood.
Control is a little hakelig and not really modern. That's better.
Overall, "The Evil Within" a very solid horror games. But in the pants here makes no fear.
That was simply a lie to attract attention. Also, it is not the new horror star. It's fun nevertheless.
Just a little more combat options and ammunition would have been something I prefer.
I do not regret the purchase. But Resident Evil I prefer despite the big action shares before a little.
I highly recommend this game requires. But we must not expect a Hammer Game.
