This storm will break the silence

Respect. Sovereign than ever merge HSB on ICONOCLAST elements from Hardcore (fortunately only a few approaches), Metalcore, a luxuriant serving Swedish Death and some thrash metal. The result is a truly rich Melodic deathcore board. The opener - after the quiet intro Awoken - is a crusher very first grade. END stands as even then The Weapon They Fear paired by angry hardness with absolute bang and Mitbrüll compatibility. But the rest of the songs on the album are the opener according to almost nothing. Whether the metalcore-heavy LIKE A Thousend SUNS, the almost ballad-A DYING EMBER, the EDGE OF SANITY Cover BlackTears or strong death metal-inspired JOEL, 'the tracks go without mercy forward. The knotless production together with the driving double bass and continually perceptible anger and rebelliousness, the grind with the cry-performance of Marcus Bischoff each ear canal, can be a joyful.

However, there are a few weaker songs on ICONOCLAST, and Marcus vocal performance, which unfortunately almost continuously moves on Metalcore level, disappointed and tired with the time like on the previous albums. In this respect, a lot more would have been possible. Not so with the texts. More pathetic social criticism is hardly possible. But better so than any Blödel texts.

HSB making for years now their own thing, and they do it really well. They have their own distinctive style, which was perfected more and more over the years. Behind the all is an authentic band (see HSB live!) Who has delivered with ICONOCLAST an immensely punchy album that stands in the long tradition of WHATEVER IT MAY TAKE to ANTIGONE and Deaf To Our Prayers. I especially like the perfect symbiosis of different styles of music and the brutality with simultaneous melody and partly melancholic touch. Thank you for this piece of metal.
