In the segregated America of the 30s, a brother and sister discover the brutal world of adults through the prism of legal work of their father. Raised alone (with his brother) by this rather modern widower in his vision of education, the small Scout merely describes her daily in the "South". She candidly narrates the dramatic episode that shakes her small town. This child "color blind" does not capture why and how, but its early intellectual acuity innocently denounced adult prejudices and their cowardice. When the story is loaded with emotion, a story or a comic reflection slips and plays down the episode ... A wonderful book that richly deserved his reward !!!
