Anyone thinking about buying the album, because he had the previous liked with Anette Olson "Dark Passion Play" has here a little bit careful. The mood in this album is very different from the partially strained and slightly depressive predecessor, but impresses with a variety of diverse moods and fascinating in its own way. Imaginaerum, which was planned for some time, was based on a concept, which is very clear even in the songs. This album is so rounded and consistent in itself, as I're now at barely able to observe another. The exchange of different moods is always appropriate and fluently so that a continuous run is concluded. However, the individual songs are of course only fantastic. Of course the usual Nightwish sound is still present, but Tuomas Holopainen has also re-used elements. Overall, the compositions fit maybe even a little better on Anette Olson's voice, as in the previous album. This Tour Edition is recommended, of course, if you want to learn a little more about the making of the album. These interesting insights into the private lives of the band members and the making of the album will be given on the bonus DVD. And the orchestral version of each song is also a very fascinating experience. All in all, highly recommended this purchase.
