The ordered me variant was the most powerful version with a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, a GB of memory, 8 GB Flash memory (expandable with microSD (according to some forums also microSDXC).
Was delivered, the tablet with Android 3.2. The update is but after connecting to the wireless network before directly.
For those people it would be important to check whether you have actually received the version of the tablet, which you want. The version with dual core 1.5GHz has Properties options status as the 4460 processor (4430 is the dual-core 1.2 GHz). The RAM you should check under properties Apps whether more than 512MB total available.
Pro:
- Android runs very smoothly (even before updating to 4:05)
- Screen is set very bright
- The tablet is loud Quadrant benchmark of the 2D and 3D performance on a level with the Transformer Prime
- Gameloft and Market-games work with no problem
- GPS works without problem (even in the apartment very good reception (Distance from windows ca 2m)
- Wi-Fi works without problem
- Stand is very good (why spoil that not all manufacturers?)
- Excellent price / performance ratio
Neutral:
- The Quadrant benchmark only 1 core is displayed if it was a display error, or an error of the tablets I can not say it was in any case always liquid
- Battery life seemed short, but due to the short period of use, I can not set there (about 7 hours use on two days)
Cons:
- Device is subjectively very thick compared to the Transformer Prime
- The back of the tablet feels "cheap" on (naked plastic)
- Could in wet / sweaty hands and fingers are very slippery and can partly be "flex" (The greatest weakness of the predecessor with a changing image here, however, was almost completely eliminated)
- The weight, though only 70 grams heavier than the Prime looks considerably higher
- The positioning of the volume knob is beneath contempt. I am constantly come up with my right hand on it if I wanted to hold the tablet above. If I then held down I opened often accidentally adjusted Drawer for Tablets (time, WLAN, etc.)
- My Tablet came with 3.2. Whether that is also the case with other, I can not judge, but for me, this means withdrawal, since it was stated that I buy the tablet with 4.0
- Screen reflects heavily (for me but little importance, since I had always used the Tablet lack of garden mostly in the apartment the couple of times that I would have used it there, would have been not so tragic.)
The viewing angle on the other hand is good
- The charger has a fixed cable (there is still a microUSB to USB-A cable attached). Why you can not settle the charging cable as with other manufacturers, yet surprising
(Not really a downside, however: When you first install under the item WLAN is scanned by the Archos program only to WLAN, you can not enter a hidden SSID)
Ultimately, I ended up with a rating of 4 stars but unfortunately I had to separate myself from this tablet, though I am still enthusiastic about the device now. But since I could not keep the device so through this unspeakably placed volume control as I wanted, it was to handle more uncomfortable in the long run.
For those who may try to Natura the device previously, and with the volume control to cope, I can only recommend it
If there is one child, which is a bit thin, and the volume control is added, I will definitely risking one or another view
