The tripod head is also completely stable when you set it once, nothing wobbles more 'very good!
Somewhat unhappy I think, unfortunately, however, the handling:
- To adjust the axes, several rotary movements are always necessary to loosen the screw and determine again. If you want to readjust the camera several times that can quickly degenerate into a Schrauborgie. This is of course due to design, less rotational path would still be enjoyable.
- An incomprehensible for me there is restriction in setting the amount of inclination: you can set up on the ground at a 90 ° angle to the front vertical camera, but only 30 ° skyward. So if you want eg. A picture of a church dome, as is necessary to remove the camera, turn the base plate by 180 degrees, and place the camera on the tripod quasi upside down in order to take pictures 90 ° upwards can. This restriction is also rather artificial, were it not tilt limiter, were also determined 60 ° tilt in the height possible.
Conclusion: The 804RC2 is well made and sturdy, and I like my Manfrotto tripod very, but the head does not fit very well to my needs and will be replaced with a ball head.
