Snoop Dogg is one of the most famous rappers of all time. And this is not surprising, since he considers himself since now more than 15 years in the Hip Hop-Biz and is always at the top of the charts. I am a really big fan of his first five albums, so I felt his musical event that is related to his departure from No Limit Records, also very painful. After both disasters "Paid As Cost To Be Tha Boss" and "R & G - The Masterpiece" it seemed indeed as if he had caught with his 2006-spec factory "Tha Blue Carpet Treatment" again, which is why I to further improving hoped the Dogg Father. When you look at the dark cover of "Ego Trippin ', so you can quickly get tempted to think that we Snoopy times Gangster stories served up again at its best, but far from it. Really hard not provide us the former gang member of the Crips, Westcoast Sound certainly not. Many of the beats reminiscent of the disco music of the 70s, partly 80s, some tracks have rather harder, partly danceable instrumentals. "Ego Trippin" actually begins even really good and although the firecrackers "Press Play", a production of Legend DJ Quik. As you can imagine this is an ultra chill Smash, which also makes use of some of instruments like drums and wind instruments, a real sound fireworks, raps usual casual about Snoop Dogg. Well, this elation is clouded immediately with the absolutely atrocious "SD Is Out" and "Gangsta Like Me". Confused, unnecessary electrical and boring beats, partly Vocoderstimmeneinsatz and unmotivated Rhymes of getting on in years Pimps. His career can Doggy Dogg reminisce on "Neva Have 2 Worry". A very slow and quiet song, almost whispering in which Snoop and has besides the great chorus of Uncle Chuuc to offer anything really exciting. "Sexual Eruption" was the lead single from "Ego Trippin". At first I hated it yet, now I'm reasonably clear so as Having a Seventies-style instrumental is truly chilling. However Snoop would have left only the black horses and should renounce the distorted vocals, as they listen to but atrocious. The best song of the plate should "Da Party Life Of" be without a doubt the two Oakland rappers Too Short and Mistah FAB. The song has real class you have to say. Casual Beat during the verses, which is refined by very horny and even old school synth sounds, to rap all really good, especially the chorus of FAB and Snoop succeeded. In the truest sense of the word "Cool" has become really cool. This track is also extremely influenced by disco sound, fits here but wonderful and is a real experience for the hearing. It is a pity that only Snoop sings and raps not what would have surely well belongs. Something modern sounds the Neptunes production "sets up". Overall, a standard club song which has become certainly good, but something like that you have heard of the Neptunes already umpteen times. Actually, Snoop Dogg had really had the potential to be a good album, but it moves to "Ego Trippin" repeatedly even a leg, as happened with "Waste Of Time", "Deez Hollywood Nights" or "In My Jeans Staxxx" where simply nothing fits. The Instrumentals act partly without concept or just loveless and boring and even Snoopy is evident not just at its best. By the middle to end of the plate, the quality of each track increases luckily again a bit. Here are the chilling "Been Around The World" or the slightly faster "Let It Out" from anhörbarem caliber. A real highlight, there is also. And with the very extraordinary "My Medicine". This song has to Rap anything more in his hat, but that's me here exceptional care. Snoop sings about a country instrumental that is more reminiscent of lonely motorcycle tours through the desert than at Lowrider cruising in Los Angeles, but still knows how to inspire. The last songs are all of the quieter sort, so unfortunately are not as varied, chilled and pleasant to listen to but they are all, in the case of the really nice become "Can not Say Goodbye" (feat. Charlie Wilson) there are even a real hit. Snoop Dogg's now ninth solo album is a total sadly become just average. There are in addition a few hits and some songs have become ill, but also a lot of mediocre tracks, which can be heard by all pretty good, but not necessarily knock your socks off. After his Gangster album "Tha Blue Carpet Treatment" is Snoop has completely reinvented and developed what is to be seen as positive, but unfortunately also the one time or another strong went into his pants. For absolute Snoop Dogg fans certainly a must, as well as those to whom "Sexual Eruption" has fallen, this record should be. Those who expect a typical West Coast album likely to be disappointed and should rather resort to one of his earlier works. Previously listen is very definitely advisable.
