Malfunction:

When the battery indicator lit up (weak battery), I put him as usual on the charging station.
Unusually, however, shone this time the charge indicators on the shaver.
To my surprise, the razor functioned after 10 min at the station no longer.

So I called the customer hotline by Philips, which has in turn referred me to the Euro-repair center.
I should send the razor but there and make a goodwill request.
Diagnosis: Charging circuit malfunction! Hide can something like this happen? My old shaver has held more than 10 years.
The Philips repair shop "Euro-repair center" has finally offered to me without any comment, only the following options:
1. Repair for 122.64!
2. Return shipping of the unrepaired device for ~ 26 (15 handling fee + VAT + shipping 8)
3. Disposal of my shaver for ~ 18 (15 handling fee + VAT)
For the price I can buy a new device ...
Conclusion:
------
While the shaving performance of the device, the durability of the current Philips products, and their service is really good, but totally unacceptable.
If you already acquired the high-priced top model, I expect appropriate quality as a customer.
Too bad that Philips does not attach more importance to long-lasting products and the honest customer exempts.
I will therefore think about the future well if I'll still buy their products.
After 2 years of daily use, I must say that the shaver is not worth the money so unfortunately!
Adding to the purchase price to 2 years service to, costs of razor over 6 per month. For the money I can buy more than enough wet razor me.
Alternatively, then tuts also a cheaper electric shaver. The holding that is also 2 years!

Because I have kept the repair price for outrageous, I let my razor again return unrepaired. Today the good DHL messenger came and wanted to have a proud 35.37 euros for my package! Why the high cost were not previously communicated to me? 15 handling fee + VAT + shipping + 8 ~ 10 delivery fee I find really brazen.
I can only advise to take distance from the official Philipsrepataturwerkstatt you so.
