The specified 300 lumens are of course far from being reached, but the brightness, which pulls the small part of an AA battery, will do just fine. The light cone shows a distinct outer halo and in the closest zoom setting an image of the square LED. The adjustment of the light angle is done by very smooth shifting of the front part of the lens. This is far too easy - a rotating screw would have been much more useful at this point. Because here each cover missing, the light is naturally also not waterproof. Without this zoom function, the lamp would have liked better to me.
The switch is located in the rear screw. Press turns the flashlight on or off. If it is turned on, light buttons of the same switch is sufficient to switch the operation modes "full brightness", "half intensity" or "strobe flashes". The flash I think another superfluous feature that is likely to be useful, however, to trigger seizures in epilepsy at risk.
For me, however, was the decisive factor for the purchase, that this device requires only a standard AA battery (1.5 V Mignon) and that is also described clearly in the offer! I wanted to never be surprised with the fact that a simple flashlight absolutely requires 14500er lithium batteries or rechargeable batteries with 3.7 volts (but it works so well!). Unfortunately, such details in many offerings are very hidden or nebulous to not mentioned at (= excitation to dealers to change that!). In addition, I did not want to wait for 5 weeks until delivery from distant China, may still need to communicate with the Customs and have therefore at a local dealer ordered (delivery time: 2 days!).
The flashlight is very small, works very stable and fulfills its purpose. If it lasts so long, I'll be more than satisfied for paid 8.90 so. If not, I'll provide a relevant Supplement here ...

Addendum: Since my first torch still like and still hanging a jacket without lamp assembly at the door, I quickly decided (also in order, ordering more than 20 - to come and save shipping costs) even ordered a copy from the phone paradise - although the price has now risen to one euro. Unfortunately, I now have a different version.
After a long study of the various and Amazon very frequent descriptions I have the flowery texts previously understood as:
"1 mode" = only on / off switch.
"3 modes" = Press for On / Off, buttons to switch from light to half brightness and fast flashing. When turned on, the instrument is always in the mode "Hell". This version I expected!
"Tactic Click Reverse Swith" = in principle as well, but with the small difference that is always started in a different mode. If one "light" turns the lamp mode, it is the next time the mode "reduced intensity". If I "dimmed" power down, the thing starts next time on wild flashing. Since you can hardly remembers what mode they have been recently turned off, you may be surprised every time and must expect to be confronted when turning with a wild Geblitze. This version I have now received the second order.
Obviously it is up largely to chance, which version is obtained in each case. I like that although not, but because the light is on, me the cost of a return is too high. That leaves only deduct a star (or two) .....
