First of all some things that certainly make the most of (mainstream) consumers more than discourage:
- Route graphic, weather effects and displays are not up to date. Edge flares.
- Windscreen is completely dry when wet, to see not a single drop / smut.
- Zero Speech.
- Presentation of the whole process as dry crispbread.
- Racing Series Superstars V8 safe with us not so well known and loved. DTM would prefer!
- Control a little too sensitive by DualShock 3.
- Damage model in place, but not too pronounced and has no influence on the driving behavior.
For the estimated 2-3 percent who now not flagged, here the positive impressions:
- Engine sound of the V8 engines, switching and coupling noise. Great music in the menus.
- Vehicles shown very detalliert. Good foresight!
- Clear menu design and good settings (spoiler, gear, etc.) of vehicles.
- AI opponents and challenge to Legend super well done.
- Choice of tires can determine victory or placements in the Central / backcourt.
- Good driving physics and not too demanding. Kind of like when Supercar Challenge / Ferrari Challenge.
- Very good for Force Feedback DualShock 3. effects are very fine / done gently, so that the sensitive steering is not unnecessarily disturbed.
- Surprisingly extensive Race Replay features (Replay)
- Track conditions change noticeably during the race. (Drying track, rubber abrasion)
"Only" comes to exciting possible race simulation impact for all racing purists, which are, a real find!
However, I am also counting with a part of the "mainstream consumers", which require a good presentation and technically feasible for their console or want to see. Feast for the eyes. Therefore, no clear recommendation. Who whistles on presentation and graphical shortcomings readily accepts will be rewarded with exciting race until the last lap over and over again :-)
