In case of Asmedia 1053E which SATA 3 (6Gb / s) is capable and UASP support which may result in a higher power via USB 3.0.
Also installed is the Asmedia 1456 serving as a digital switch, and provides the highest possible performance by connecting via eSATA.
A speed test I have not been carried out, but I could without problems several SSDs via eSATA and USB 3.0 bereiben so. Even deleting via Secure Erase was no problem.
The only negative is when it wants because no USB 3.0 Micro B connector is fitted to the chassis. It is imperative that a USB 3.0 cable type A to be used on both sides, because if one wants to use USB 3.0.
