To find all the performance and beyond

MacBook Pro 15 "late 2011 intel core 7 4GB (2x2GB), supposed to be limited to 8GB.
I made this extension to 16GB of RAM a little worried but still encouraged by the reviews that it was possible and MacTracker by announcing the same thing.

The new Mavericks system was modified in depth and is more greedy than Mountain Lion despite its new compressed memory management.
Now, I need to have multiple applications running at the same time to develop, or simply to write, not to mention the music or video.
Everything became slow, very little reactive, changes of app to the other looked like crashes, the Finder itself responding to clicks after several seconds.

I now have quadrupled my RAM, Mavericks does not even need to compress his memory, I found all the reactivity of my Mac a little faster still, but especially with the ability to run more simultaneous applications before Mavericks, passages between snapshots apps, video editing work and more fluid photo editing than I have known. Happiness!

Dismantling poses no problem when using the correct screwdriver, bottom aluminum is a bit "stuck" or magnetized and remove the obligation to force a little anxiously. Once done, everything is beautifully arranged and accessible, Apple did a great job. Nothing to do with Dell's where my son change the hard drive was incredibly difficult.

Restarting the Mac was a bit long on gray screen, the time it tests its new RAM, after that, everything works perfectly.

I save to change the hard disk against an SSD, the performance increase was extraordinary on the Dell my son ... it will be the next step.
