I wanted a device that a very good physical keyboard brings, along with all the other advantages offered by a smartphone. The Xperia Pro fulfilled for me all these claims. I do not want to again go through all the individual points here. These have already been dealt with adequately and constructively by many reviewers like Frakflorer and I share this fully. Instead, I would like to especially on a few points that have not yet explicitly mentioned. All figures relate to the factory-installed version of Android.
1) Compared to my Nokia 3110 Classic, in which I have the volume of the voices of my interlocutors always felt to be significantly too low, the call quality to the Xperia Pro is much better. I hear my interlocutor louder and clearer and definitely without any rattling. This comparison, however, I have made only the e-network (simyo) in various cities in Saarland. Of course, the call quality also depends on the network itself and the location.
2) The music sound quality is for me much closer to that of the iPod Touch. Only the high frequencies are minimally worse resolved, but what you hear only in direct comparison. The attached headset has for me as a music lover with slightly higher than the average claims a great sound. Music - mainly rock and metal, as well as some jazz - is clear and punchy reproduced. Here you can clearly see that this is an audio specialist Sony. The headphones that Apple attaches its devices are the biggest crap. Although outside hui, but inside yuck.
3) During my research, I was able to find in any report the value of the specific absorption rate (SAR) of the Xperia Pro. The smaller this value is, the less the human tissue is heated by the radiation which outputs the device. Although the importance of this value is disregarded in many tests mostly, he plays for me anyway a not unimportant role. Fortunately, Sony provides this information with in a leaflet. According to Sony, is the highest established for this model phone SAR value when using the ear 0.88 W / kg (watts per kilogram of body weight). By comparison, for the current iPhone 4s a value of 0.99 W / kg is given. Thus the value of the Xperia Pro for a smartphone of this class, while still in need of improvement, but still pleasingly low.
In summary for me to say that I am fully satisfied with the device. The only thing I could complain about, perhaps, is the side headphone jack. Its position is not optimal, if you want to connect the device with headphones attached, for example in your pocket. If the plug of the headphones is not bent, the risk of a cable break is greater. Fortunately, however, there are favorable angle adapter jack which have solved this problem for me.
For the required Amazon Price the Xperia Pro is definitely a value for blockbuster and the smartphone with the best current physical keyboard on the market. From me a very strong buy recommendation!
