The French version is to be avoided like the plague. To have compared to the original version, the translator is royally planted many misinterpretations and making approximations very painful reading and some downright incomprehensible passages.

Too bad, because it is missing out on a pillar of cyberpunk. History reminds titles such as Blade Runner, Ghost in the Shell, or Deus Ex towards video games. Global conspiracies, sprawling, all-powerful firms, gigantic Arcologies, loss of identity, artificial intelligence are part of the landscape.
