To me at least to be able to form an opinion, but I have now made me the book. I have to admit that it's really exciting and well written. However, it could not captivate from page one to me. At the beginning very little to implement and is described, so that it was difficult to me to find in the subject, although I like to read fantasy novels. Through the first 150 pages I have so tormented me, after that it was much better, so I really could no longer put it out of his hand.
The idea of the soul converter is of course not new. The way how Stephanie Meyer is implemented and integrated the souls in our world, is definitely something different. This is not simply about an alien race, conquer the world, but get them and their inhabitants or wants to protect people from themselves.
The book lives mainly from the inner struggle and the dialogues between Mel and Wanda. Your various memories, feelings and perceptions can be a lot of frustration and despair arise. It is beautifully described how their inner relationship changes, as they quarrel and reconcile and how the environment humans Melanie accepted slowly with the soul Wanda and later respected.
Finally a book from her that content and depth shows and thought-provoking. I am very happy that I have overcome me and read it. The last pages of felt like a roller coaster of emotions.
