To replace a defective original adapter

I needed an electric adapter to replace a defective. But despite photos or descriptions, it's not always easy getting the right tip with the correct polarity.
This adapter has several advantages: a voltage to choose among 7 (3V to 12V with supplied selection tool (a screwdriver but did the trick)), six different tips and especially the opportunity to choose the polarity on tips.
In short, much more than I need, but at least unlikely that this adapter is not suitable.
