Even the "dissatisfied" EP aroused curiosity and a great desire on the longplayer. "The high time" but has a bit of (creative) time left and was delayed, - but the wait was well worth it. Rarely has me a plate so carried away in the last few years and loved it. The fact that the musicians know their craft, they prove with each song anew. Songwriting and poetry are at its best. The tracks are lovingly arranged, the lyrics often wonderfully ambiguous and clever. There is no ICE, which roars through the speakers there - even the train ballad from the small town of the platform and then increases elegant ride on to bring us "Out in the country" to, sometimes you can hear at first the railroad clacking among themselves until the Refrain snaps and you lose the beat. Each trip with the "highest railway" is an experience.
The "Süddeutsche" makes a comparison to Nils Koppruch, the well I miss And yet, "Look in the running hare" differs from died much too early "bird man" whose enigmatic poetry was his artistic trademark. "The highest railway" although formulated similarly brilliant and amusing, but usually without missing puzzle pieces. The CD is more pop than Koppruch ever was, but timeless. The trend towards electronic (voting) is spending more consistently denied. Variety, always surprising musical capers, honest manual labor and the smart, winking know what you are doing, make this album one of my personal favorite CD of the year. I think it's not too early to assert that.
