Using the keyboard, it can write well and also play, I find the compromise between writing sensation and feeling is well done. In all respects just slight compromise but might be a good all-rounder.
. -> Negative depending pers feeling (makes me put together the first half a point less): The font used in the character set is a horror!
The font is on "would like to be a cool gamer" trimmed, muddy and partially difficult to read. Brackets and special characters are unnecessarily difficult to differentiate. Comparable to the extremely poor labeling of the mechanical keyboard of R ... r. For me, a disaster, all of which are blind?
Here we wanted to appeal to gamers and cares no longer to the otherwise very good compromise more.
Furthermore, the illumination of the caps is not really a good solution. The caps are simple, so the top-placed only in white plastic and quite thin, controllable in brightness LED, the top cap fairly well-lit. Since then also lies the rub. The lower half of the caps gets virtually no light, unless you fully regulates high but then the keyboard outshines that is simply too much. Thus, the secondary label of most buttons is not good to see in the dark (in days by the way also not).
-> Unique negative (the second half point deduction) What's not at all, is the poor quality of the keycaps or painting.
After just two weeks (!) Pretty intensive use of W, A, S, D to a fairly well-known shooter I had a hole in the coating of S and D keys notice and was very disappointed. These and many other keys have mild to rough scratch of my actually getting pretty close-cropped fingernails. At A and S you can see the scratches very well. The paint is too sensitive and too soft. I have attached photos, this quality is an absolute no-go.
-> Feasible improvements by the user: to fix the savvy hobbyists paint the issue of caps perhaps, in which he (most all) provides the caps with an additional clear and very hard lacquer.
Or even a complete replacement of the caps with high quality caps of good old Cherry keyboards (in my case two-component injection molding, indestructible) see photos.
The O-rings I have just taken over for the exchanged caps.
Looks to me not only a lot better, the writing feeling and the readability of certain characters is pleasant but has the cost of losing the lighting function (selbige I eh not really used).
Conclusion:
If you want to play a good compromise and write, mechanically and not too loud then this keyboard is after some modifications a really good choice for. Otherwise, would rather do without Media Keys and draw on top products from other manufacturers.
So slightly restricted recommendation if you can not live with the little quirks / wants.
